ABOUT NOYCIA

The Novartis Oncology Young Canadian Investigator Awards (NOYCIA) Program was initiated in 2004 with a mission to support Canadian oncology researchers. The program provides funding and recognition to 10 Canadian oncology researchers every year who demonstrate excellence in their area of study.

NOYCIA is designed to share new oncology data with their peers and present the abstracts to Medical Oncologists and supervisors from across the country. Abstracts accepted into this program span several disease sites or disciplines under the broad umbrella of "cancer research."

Researchers who submit an application will have their abstract reviewed by the Scientific Panel. They will select the ten (10) oncology winners based on the merit of research.

Each recipient receives a grant of $5,000 CDN; an opportunity to present at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting to present to their colleagues and Medical Oncologists from across the country.
