Amal Aljuhani

Dr. Aljuhani is a physician-scientist in training, currently a Breast Medical Oncology Fellow at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (University Health Network) and an MSc candidate in Clinical Epidemiology and Healthcare Research at the University of Toronto. She will be joining KFSH&RC in Riyadh as a Consultant Physician-Scientist while pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Science

Dr. Samuel (Sze Wah) Chan, MD, FRCPC, is a medical oncology clinical-research fellow at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and McMaster University. He has a clinical interest in genitourinary and thoracic oncology, with a strong focus on immunotherapy, real-world outcomes research, and clinical trials.

Nihar Desa

Nihar Desai is an allogeneic stem cell transplant physician at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Toronto. He is an incoming faculty member in the Division of Myeloid Malignancies and Transplantation at Allegheny Health Network, Pittsburgh USA. His research interests lie in the optimization of post-transplant cyclophosphamide (PTCy) dosing and the evaluation of combination GVHD prophylaxis strategies incorporating ATG and PTCy.

François Jobin-Gervais

Dr. François Jobin Gervais MD received his medical degree from Université Laval in Québec City, where he also completed his residency programs. He is certified in both medical oncology and hematology. He recently completed his fellowship in gastrointestinal oncology at The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto and now holds a staff position at L’Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis-CISSS Chaudière-Appalaches.

Malek Hannouf

Dr. Malek B. Hannouf, MD, PhD is completing his medical oncology training at the University of Calgary. Previously he completed a PhD in Cancer Epidemiology from the School of Medicine at Western University. His main research focuses on medical decision making, health economics, health technology assessment and real-life outcomes to study the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of new oncology technologies in an innovative health technology assessment framework of translational and multidisciplinary research. He has published extensively in this area which enabled the development of effective provincial policies leading to the integration of clinically promising new approaches for cancer patients into the health care system.

Anna-Maria Lazaratos is an MD-PhD candidate at Université de Montréal, conducting her doctoral work at the Goodman Cancer Institute under the supervision of Dr. Peter Siegel. Her research focuses on the tumor immune microenvironment in triple negative breast cancer, with an emphasis on immunotherapy resistance and the development of novel therapeutic strategies.

Chloe Lim is a PGY-5 Medical Oncology resident at BC Cancer Vancouver and the University of British Columbia, with research interests in real-world outcomes in advanced melanoma patients. This fall, she will be joining BC Cancer Surrey as a staff oncologist, treating patients with GI, thoracic, and skin malignancies.

Luxiga Thanabalachandran is a medical student and researcher with interests in oncology, quality improvement, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Her work explores how AI-supported summarization can improve documentation, efficiency, and communication in multidisciplinary cancer conferences.
